"The man without a hat" is about feeling different, having a different view of the world and searching for the right community that will welcome you and help you grow.

 

I started off as an essentially experimental adventure. In that adventure, my then eight-year-old son, Orlando, teamed up with me to illustrate all the buildings and many other elements of the book, which I then coloured and incorporated into the main illustrations.
