6-9 September 2018

Saltaire village, Shipley, West Yorkshire, UK.

The 1st and 2nd tree-palaces created for the "Sonatas and Nocturnes in G" installation, a work still in progress, will be on show in a lovely garden of the Saltaire Open Gardens Festival in September.

These tree-palaces are both spreading and gathering love and positive energy before their roots rest on the soil of the installation they were created for.

I hope you enjoy them as much as I enjoyed creating them...

2nd Black and White Exhibition | Fusion Arts Online Gallery |April 2018

15-16 December 2017

5th Base Gallery, Brick Lane, London.

The "War-Tree" sequence was on display as part of the "otherworlds.1" exhibition. The curators presented the show with the words that follow:

"R-e-d-B-l-a-c-k-Curation presents Otherworlds.1, an exhibition investigating the otherworldly through the lens of identity.

The artists within the show grapple with notions of duality. They probe at what it is to belong to the outer world as a collective system and how our individual inner worlds collide with the bigger picture. The question is how do our inner worlds absorb, interpret and construct artistic vision with spiritual integrity?

Otherworlds.1 explores themes such as movement and fragmentation, the surreal and sacred, urbanism and nature, politics and corruption, emotion and catharsis. The artworks amalgamate to form a web of intensity, aiming to tangle the viewer in a moment brimming with age-old questions, art historical reflections and psychological indentations."

20-21 September 2017

Sunny Art Centre, Chancery Lane, London, UK

Some images from the series "Sonatas and Nocturnes in G" were part of the September 2017 London Pop Up Art Fair at the Sunny Art Centre in Central London.

20 May - 9 June 2017

Oxford House in Bethnal Green, London, UK

Over 35 images from "Trees", a series of tree images from various different projects I created, were on show at the wonderful Ode to Nature exhibition, which was part of The Chelsea Fringe Festival.

Four artists were exhibiting in this really special exhibition, which was presented by Chelsea Fringe thus:

"Oxford House and The Chelsea Fringe Festival will be hosting a show featuring works by four artists to celebrate the diversity of nature. The exhibition ‘Ode to Nature’ will feature different formats: from painting, to collage, to mosaics. Each artist plays on a combination of shapes, colours, strength and fragility using their own relationship to nature. This will create an interesting study of contrasts. Each work also reveals the necessity of conveying a message to the contemporary viewer – whether it is a pure emotion or a thought."
