To me, illustration is like music; more than a piece of information, it is a feeling,
a mood I try to convey through an image. I mix media as much or as little as I consider needed to obtain what I judge as the best and most relevant result.
I completed a BA Honours in Graphic and Media Design (Illustration pathway) at the London College of Communication in 2009, a number of years after taking a BTEC HND Diploma in Photography at Kingsway College, London between 1995 and 1997. I have worked, amongst more things than there is space to remember, as a Personal Assistant, Human Resources Manager, Freelance interpreter and translator and Freelance Photographer, supplying images to, among others, the Royal Geographical Society' s picture library.
I was born in Beirut, Lebanon, in December 1971 and am part French. When I was 3, war broke out in Lebanon and from then on my upbringing took place ping-ponging between Lebanon, Italy and France, though mainly in Lebanon. I have been living in London since June1990 and have also lived briefly in Chile and Argentina. My son, Orlando, was born in September 2000.
I speak English, French, Spanish and Arabic fluently.
My cross-cultural upbringing, way of life and friends have left me feeling universal, belonging to no place in particular and to all places at once. My own true home and eternal shelter is music, that all encompassing wonder, without which, as Nietzsche rightfully declared, “life would not be worth living.”
I am available for Freelance work, commissions, collaborations and exhibitions both in London or abroad. Please feel free to contact me by clicking
